Developers in Bangalore say, "This Made in India app has been gaining popularity day by day, mainly for the past week or so, with people across the country demanding a halt to the use of Chinese products." This demand is further strengthened.

The app was originally created by two developers from Bangalore, World Hero and Siddhartha Gautam. In their words, "This popular short video app has enabled greater than 50 lakh users to get to the chingari family in just 72 hours i,e.only 3days.
